One room, real ale, no music. One room, four casks and conversation.
A micropub works because almost nothing costs money: a small shop unit, no kitchen, no tie to a brewery and often no staff beyond the owner. Buying free of tie is the whole margin, and the rule is that people talk to each other rather than to a screen. It will never be a big business, but it can pay a living from four or five hundred pints a week.
