A maple floor, music and skates for hire. Fill a hall with people going round in circles, happily.
A roller rink is a big smooth floor, music and racks of skates for hire, and it runs sessions by the clock: children in the afternoon, couples at night. Admission is cheap and the floor wears out, so the business depends on full sessions every evening. Crazes come and go, and the rinks that last are the ones with clubs, hockey and a disco night.
