A licensed launch site, sold to rocket firms by the launch. Build the pad Britain's first rocket leaves from.
A spaceport is a launch site, a range over the sea and a licence. The Space Industry Act 2018 made it possible, and the regulations of July 2021 made it real. The operator builds the pads and the hangars, clears the range on launch days and charges the rocket firms for every launch. The firms are young and some fail, the first orbital launch from British soil keeps slipping, and every delay is paid for by the site.
